A Miracle

Miracles come in all sizes. And this is weird and possibly gross but nonetheless it is true. Today a miracle happened. Today the hole in my foot disappeared. Today there is no more hole...I suppose it is filled or moved on....I do not know. What I do know is this: I had a hole on the bottom of my foot for the past 4 years (just about) and nothing...nay ...nothing changed this fact. I tried cutting all the skin off with knives...doing only more damage I think. I tried wart creams and powders and steroid ointment and lotion and regular lathers and any freaking idea any girlfriend suggested. I tried it all. I asked two doctors about it. One said she had no idea what it was...but did add, "These things tend to work themselves out" and "There does seem to be something in there - huh?"....which I did not find very comforting. The second doctor claimed the hole was not a hole per se but the build up of dead skin....I didn't tell her of my varying efforts...but I did think if this is dead skin...that is some resilient rigafied epidermis. She suggest pumice stone. I now own about 4 of those and have used them to varying degrees from nice and light to painful (aka hard to wear shoes). But some how years later....one morning.....this morning.....the hole is gone. G-O-N-E.
Like it was never there....like this was all a figment of one wildly overactive imagination. So - it goes. A miracle of de-foot (not defeat...hee hee). And so, I wonder could this amazing skin healing occurrence mean something? Anything? And if so, what?
